Slow is the way to go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 5qt Portable Slow Cooker Sometimes Slow is the way to go! I hadn’t owned a slow cooker for years. The last one I had ended up packed away in the garage because it was so rarely used and I didn’t have the extra space inside. This slow cooker by Hamilton Beach looks good. It has a really nice, heavy crock with lid and a silicon band that you’re supposed to stretch across the lid from handle to handle to secure it when you take...

No Frills Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5 quart slow cooker is a no frills basic slow cooker. It does the job as promised. My firsr item to cook was whole sweet potatoes with the peel, a lazy way to bake several at one time without using the oven. I cooked them on high as my directions instructed; they cooked with no problem even though I did 2 layers instead of one. The slow cooker has 4 positions, off, keep warm, low and high. The top is clear so that you can see how well what...

NICE Slow Cooker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] first of all it is a Great Slow Cooker and it do Cook and Hold just enough for 5 Quart of a Nice piece of Meat or any Meals that you can put in it and Walk away for a Couple of Hours!Reason for 4 Stars is that this had a Rubber Band to Hold The Lid on during Cooking for help with Pressure Well after i unbox it and Left it over Night on my Counter with the Band on it (IT SNAP)and shot across my Room! had to go to a Big Box store to replace it Be...

Great Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This 5qt slow cooker is the perfect size for chili, making a meal for a potluck or even cooking a 4 to5# chicken. I use cooking bags with it to make clean up easier, but that's just my preference. There's ample room to fit everything and i like that it heats up & maintains temp consistently. I also appreciate the glass lid as opposed to a plastic lid. The rubber ring to secure the lid seemed a little small, so i probably wont use it to tran...

Heats too hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hamilton Beach 5 Quart Portable Slow Cooker. The first thing I noticed was that the metal ring on the glass lid had a groove, which allowed the glass to move around slightly and make a clicking sound. I used the slow cooker to make queso for our movie night, but the low setting heated up quickly and was too hot for the cheese, causing it to stick to the sides. It also heated unevenly causing one side to get too hot and the other ...

Low level crock pot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First glance at the product. It is extremely light weight, the aluminum on the outside feels like it can be easily dented, the power cord is short. There are only 3 feet on the bottom which makes quite a wobbly setting, it could also use grippers to stop it from sliding around, It just feels cheap. While using it, there were noticeable hot spots and the exterior was not well insulted which resulted in the exterior being quite warm which is not ...

Hamilton Beach 5 quart Slow Cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This slow cooker is exceptional. I was using an old slow cooker I had for years and hated cleaning it. The removal pot for cleaning is terrific. I have used the cooker three times now since receiving it, twice for soups and once for cooking chicken. Each time the food has cooked as expected and nicely done. The design and looks of the cooker are very attractive. Thank you Hamilton Beach for such a wonderful product.

Burnsz 5 qt review

Great slow cooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is the perfect size. Not to big not to small. Cooked a big pot of chilli in it. Let it cook all day. Kitchen smelled great. We loved the taste. Thought it was better than cooked on the stove. Put all the ingredients in set the temp and forget it. No watching or stirring just let it cook. We ate several helpings and had enough to freeze some.
