Learn MoreHoneysweet Pear Tree produces super-sweet "sugar-type" fruit with a rich, spicy flavor and exceptional quality. 1 of the few pear trees that is self-pollinating, it does not need another variety for good fruiting. Honeysweet Pears ripen on the tree in late August, and keep well in storage. Hardy in USDA zones 5 to 8.
Each offer includes one dormant bare root tree measuring 2 to 4 feet long
Space trees approximately 16 to 20 feet apart for best results
For best results, grow in good, well-drained, deep soil that is reasonably fertile

Honeysweet Standard Pear tree
Tree arrived on time. However it just looked like a stick with no real sign of branch off shoots. Tree was planted when it arrived. After several days you can see the beginning of off shoot branches.

It's alive!
Like everyone else, I rec'd this as just a bare stick with roots. It came dry with a ton of paper strips that fell out on the floor. But, I planted it when I got it about two weeks ago and now I have leaves growing on it. So I'm hoping for the best. Thus the 4 stars

DO NOT BUY a fruit tree from Lowes unless it is within one year of breaking dormancy wherever you live. If the tree is purchased greater than one year before the possibility of the tree breaking dormancy (and when it does not that means the tree is dead), Lowes will not honor the one-year guarantee. Buyer be aware!
