Would have loved it if there were no defects and I
The item came in quickly and it is very sturdy. The problem I had was that the blade did not go up all the way so I could not put a 12" aluminum in. If that were not the issue I would have loved the item. I just got the one that was defected.

When the unit arrived, the table was loose, the guide out of square and the blades misaligned, resulting in a smeared cut. I replaced the table screws with high-tensile SS Torx screws, Loc-tited them, aligned the blades and then squared the guide. The blades alignment is pretty straight-forward. Since I'm cutting mostly .032" and .064" copper-clad fiberglass printed circuit board material, I used a sheet of 20-weight paper (about 3 mils) as a spacer to provide back relief and help the blades las...

This Shear is very heavy and it is hard to do precision work, but like all things it takes some getting used to.
