Heads snap off

Replacing part of a deck. Tried to use these on some stairs. After having multiple heads break off before getting the screw completely driven in, I threw them out.

They work!

The screws do what they are meant to do and they haven’t snapped in half yet.

A good screw

Sharp - runs true and straight. Torx drives better that others. ie. phillips, slotted, etc.

Used on Salt Water Dock

These screwed right into pressure treated 2x8s without need to predrill a starter hole. I liked the star head because they don’t strip and they did not split the wood. That was nice because I am a amateur DIYer because I can’t find anyone to work on my waterfront home.

SCREW ABOVE THE REST

This screw, will not rust, and went right thru those 2X10X6 boards for the floor cover of my front porch that I have just completed, with ease. I know there are thousands of Screws to chose from, out there on the market, but this one is good enough for me. I was lucky to pull it off the shelf from Lowes, when there were others to chose from. But I was glad later to find out, I made a very wise decision. 5 star no doubt about it.

Overall Good

I use these for outdoor use in the garden when I build raised gardens. Given the cruel Florida rains and weight of the soil pushing against the screws, they held up and are still holding up quite nicely.

Needed stainless fasteners these are what I was looking for

Sharp easy to drive

Picked these for exterior and treated lumber applications based on past performance of these fasteners. Those older ones are still spotless after years in coastal climate. The new ones now have better torx bit style over the older square drive style. Very sharp self-boring tips make driving them easy, saving battery power on my driver.

Good design

Fasteners that combine good metallurgy and useability features are rare. The combination of sharp self boring tips and modern bit shape makes these screws drive quickly and prevents splitting of lumber. Very productive as they reduce the load on my driver,extending its battery life.
