What Customers Are Saying
This product appears to be of poor quality and lacks durability. Many customers reported issues with the auger bit breaking, the shaft snapping, and the quick-connect fittings not holding together. Several reviewers noted that the bit got stuck in the wall, requiring them to cut into the drywall to retrieve it. While a few positive comments mentioned the product working well for drilling through softer woods, the majority of feedback indicates this is an unreliable tool that fails to perform as expected.

Doesnt cut it
extension rod snapped first use. and it was just a knot
Not worth the price
The bit gets stuck quite often.. i lost one in the hole and broke another. The chuck on the extension broke as well.

Total junk
The long rod broke at the drill connector on the first hole after drilling 2 inches into top plate of the wall. Had to cut into the wall to retrieve the bit. Connected the short rod to back the bit out but the head of the short rod sheered off rather than backing out the bit. I opened the wall at the top and connected the drill directly to the bid but sheered off the hex head of the bit. Finally used vise grips and a hammer to extract the bit. No nails or other hard items, just wood. Completed ...
Expensive mistake
Save your money. Drilled one hole through 2x4 before breaking shaft. Shaft strength completely inadaquate for 3/4" bit. Can't even return as the bit is stuck in the wall.

Works but works better as an insulation remover!
Bought this to drill thru a double 2x4 top plate on an outside wall in which i was adding a switch. I was able to use the hole for the switch box to drill the hole. Had to tape the connections to keep them together as they won't stay connected on their own. You have to go low and slow, because any excessive pressure or speed just flexes the shaft. I would only recommend this to a friend if, like me, had no other choice to drill a hole and didn't want to patch any sheetrock.
Great experience
It was awesome making holes and pulled the cables.

Sheared off after 1st hole
I was able to make one hole through a joist (very minor angle during drilling) with the short extension. I then used the long extension to get through to the second joist, and the chuck broke off at the drill. Attached the drill to what was left, and it snapped at the other end trying to back the bit out. Had to open the ceiling to get the drill bit back, then tried again with the short extension, snapped again. Point is, I would only recommend this if you're the type of person that buys tools ...
Questionable Quality
The auger dulled out and stopped cutting through the stud before I even finished the first hole. Switched to a drill spade. In the middle of drilling through the 3rd stud, the bit changer on the rod broke, leaving my drill bit stuck in a stud behind the wall. Had to cut open more of the wall to retrieve the bit. This kit was the right idea, just poorly executed (especially for the price).

Quick connects out of spec
Was assembling for the 1st attempt, but couldn't get a single one of the quick connects to hold fast. Can't even try it out as the bit would fall out of the connection. This is horrible quality and needs to be off the shelves. For 70 bucks I at least expect SOLID function, not unusable from the getgo. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK.
