Not a strong compactor.
Our previous compactor was a stand alone that we purchased 25+ years ago. It was a Frigidaire. We loved that appliance and used the extra pack lock it had on it. After it broke this was the only stand alone appliance we could locate. It does not have the same features as our earlier model and the compacting element is not as strong. It works but will not be able to compact near the trash as the Frigidaire.

LOVE THIS MACHINE
I LIKE BEER SO I CRUSH CANS TO RECYCLE THEM. WHY LET THE TOWN GET PAID FOR MY WASTE? I RECYCLE THE ALUMINUM. FIRST LOAD WAS 65 CANS. COULD HAVE DONE MORE. IF YOU RINSE CANS THERE IS NO SMELL IF YOU GET SMELL SPRAY WITH FABREEZE.

It is built like a tank
It is built like a tank, except for the foot pedal. The foot pedal is weak plastic that has two metal screws holding it together and is the first thing to break. Otherwise, it is a great machine!

Great to have in the country! Wish it gave you the size of the bags! Can’t find it anyplace online or in the paperwork

Saves space in recycling bin
We get recycling pick up only evey other week so this saves space in pur bin. It really is most useful for plastic bottles and milk jugs as those are really compressed. Flat cardboard isn't compressed at all, but again all in all ot saves a lot of space in our recycling bin.
