I replaced my old and outdated garage door opener with this one. extremely easy to install. being able to adjust the final open and close positions is a huge benefit, because now there's no exposed door at the top of the garage opening. pre-programmed door openers are nice. but I changed the button used and that was very easy as well. This opener is super quiet, and no rattling of the chain during operation. I'll be getting another one to do the other door.

Great value, reasonably quiet with battery backup

I got this to replace the 40 year old screw drive model that was still working but very loud and looked to be near failure. I watched a youtube video on how to install this and followed those instructions to easily set up and mount the unit. It did take me at least 6 hours to install it. I needed some additional L brackets (the package only comes with 2) but I had these leftover from the old opener so I did not have to buy them. The outside keypad and battery backup are nice perks with this...

Excellent Quality

I was replacing an existing opener so all the mounting brackets had to be replaced. That was a bit challenging because the rail bracket for the door header was too large for the space I had above the door. I had to cut the bracket and it still was barely high enough for the rail to clear the door when opening. Everything else went together easily. The rail assembly being in sections seemed to make the rail less rigid than it seemed it should have been which contributed to the door barely clear...

In August 2026 I purchased the Genie 3/4 HPc chain-drive garage door opener, Model 7035, to replace my existing Genie screw-drive opener. I had hoped simply to replace the screw-drive opener motor, but I was not able to find one on the online Genie parts website. I went with the chain-drive option as a replacement.
