Birds, bees and butterflies love to flutter among the vivid yellow flowers of Maximillian Sunflower. A tall and hardy native perennial sunflower, its 4 to 7 feet tall tall stems are covered with 2 to 3 inch wide yellow blooms from midsummer to frost. Impressively beautiful in a sunny garden, the flowers also make terrific cut arrangements. Reliably perennial in most of the country, Maximillion is a long-lived plant that thrives in heat, drought and even poor soil.
