It controls insects through contact, including aphids, spider mites, mealybugs, earwigs, mites, leafhopper, ellipsoids scaler insects, thrips, whiteflies, and other listed pests. Use on vegetables, fruit trees, house plants, ornamentals, shrubs, trees, flowers, and gardens indoors, outdoors and in greenhouses. Use on edibles right up to day of harvest. This product contains specially selected soaps (fatty acid salts) chosen for effective pest control. The insecticide penetrates the body of pests and results in rapid death, disrupting membrane and cellular function of listed pests. Effective against the adult, larval, and nymph stages of pests. Garden Safe is a pest controlling contact spray that must be sprayed directly to achieve control.

I don't like using chemicals. I do use this on my house plants that have been outside for the summer. I do several application over a week- two weeks before bring them in. This seems to work for me.
