Light weight

Smaller than expected. Installation was harder than expected because install was not in a traditional window but in a framed opening. That was the only negative for this unit. Unit cools exceptionally good for its size and when in quiet mode hardly makes a sound at all. So far its great. Lets see how it holds up. It would be helpful for temp setting to show all the time without having to touch control panel. Hey, you wanted to know.

NO ENERGY EFFICENCY CERTIFICATION

Very deceiving images on Lowes website featured the yellow symbol of energy efficiency certification, however, this item has NO SUCH CERTIFICATION. So yeah, its cooling and working and such, however this AC will not qualify for rebate from the electric company, and I dread the electric bill at the end of the month, as senior citizen, I need to watch my spending with that said the heatwave is not helping the situation. Shame on you Lowes for misleading information.

Died after 6 months of use

My unit died with the deadly 86 code after only 6 months of use (13 calendar months). That's one month out of warrenty!! Another earlier problem was when I used the DRY function it filled the tray with water that did not drain properly and it sprayed water on our floor. It was installed with the proper tilt and had no debris blocking the drain. Unless Lowes and GE can help me out, this unit is going into the metal recycling bin and my replacement will not be GE.
