EPIC FAIL!
So the problem with all these smart devices, vehicle, appliances, etc, is they try to tell you what you need instead of what you actually want. This air conditioner basically sets the temperature by reading what the outside air is. So no matter how cold you put it, it will not cool to what you set it on because it reads that the temperature is cold outside. Looking for another one now. Bummer!

Faulty
We have gone through 2 of these unit in less than 3 months. The first one didn't last a week. GE refused to refund. Instead issued a voucher after forcing me to buy a second identical unit. They would not cover the taxes on the voucher of the second unit. The unit made a raging noise and wouldn't even turn off. Power surged due to storm, it quit. Now the second unit has just froze up after 2 months of use, made a racket and wouldn't turn off either. Had to unplug it. Tried to call GE, waited 30...

Died at 15 months
I bought this AC in June 24 to cool my 250sf bedroom, but now in Oct 25 it cools about as much as a fan. The Design is poor in that the filter slides out of the side and that there is no way to remove the front so you can clean the vent and coils and now it's starting to leak. I bought the previous model and it lasted 9 years.
