Natural cotton, ivory, printed with oversized painterly flowers in apricot, blue, blush and olive, a few forms raised in tufted thread, with fringe at both ends. Natural cotton, woven light and fringed at both ends, is the cloth of this throw; the pattern is printed, with tufting added on top. The flowers are large and loosely painted — apricot and ochre petals, navy and blue stems, blush and olive leaves — and a few are raised in tufted thread so the surface changes from smooth to soft within one bloom. The print shows as two or three big flowers when the throw is folded over the end of a bed, and as the whole garden when opened across a sofa. The tufted passages are what the hand goes to — short, dense and brushable, in a cloth otherwise flat and cool. It weighs little, so it drapes rather than sits.
