Works well and It is GIANT
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After several weeks of use the freezer is working perfectly. It does just what it should: freezes things. I have the control at the halfway point and everything is frozen solid. I haven't put a thermometer in it yet but everything seems to be in a fairly deep freeze. I would say it cooled down to freezing temps in about 4 to 5 hours. The bells and whistles on this are: 1. An interior light on the lid which turns on when opened and provides a fa...

With a few more baskets, this would be perfect!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a 6 cu/ft freezer that we have outgrown. I bought the largest energy efficient freezer of the day - these big ones were not even tested back then or the results were too bad to publish. So I started searching after two years of having an energy efficient freezer stuffed to the gills. From 6+ to nearly 20 cu/ft....I am taller than it is long, I can easily reach over the freezer (but I do have a large 'wingspan', and I really like the sp...

Awesome Freezer, easy reach, not enough baskets
Got the Freezer delivered while out running errands, Lowe's delivery crew dropped it off right where I asked - in front of my garage door. Was able to unbox and slide through the garage to our basement location. When my son came in from grade school he helped me place the wheels on the freezer. I was amazed that he and I could pick up the freezer to remove it from the packing base (and that the base was slippery enough to push it across concrete onto tile to it's final location). After installi...
Good Choice
I wanted to put this in my attached greenhouse (sometimes over 90 degrees in the summer) and use it as a second freezer. At first, I looked at a smaller and cheaper unit, however I noted that it was designed to only operate in an environment with a rather narrow temperature range. So, I 'bit the bullet' and sprung for the extra $100. Never has money been better spent! It's been particularly hot this summer (all of my plants are outside), so temperatures in the greenhouse have been in the 90's...

Huge freezer that works great and it can be rolled around on caster wheels! I love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife ordered this freezer for me as I decided to get 2 pigs and process them myself this year. This freezer is amazing! No frost in it, a lot of space to organize my frozen items and it is on 6 caster wheels which I love! I can move my freezer from one place to another even though it is more than half full. I’m still working on organizing my garage, so the ability to move it around is a great plus. Since it is in my garage, I do lock...

Good Freezer, but needs some additional features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this freezer to replace a Sears Kenmore chest that we only had for about 5-6 yrs which had the compressor go out on. This new one is great in appearance etc, but we have only had it for about a month. So we will see how it holds up, anything less than 15+ yrs for a chest freezer is unacceptable. If its lasts less than 15 yrs, then its due to engineered obsolescence. This freezer came with a caster kit which is nice, but only has locki...

Vacuum
This freeze when you open it get something out then let it close like you would any other freeze then you go back to get something else you can NOT open it. It forms a vacuum and I have lifted it off the floor trying. You must stand by tell it equalizes, that may take 5 or 10 minutes. I called Frigidaire the first time it done it (it had been over 30 minutes) they said it should open after a couple minutes if it didn't take it back to Lowe's and they could pry it open. Right, just unplug, load i...
Bigger than it looks
I have only owned this freezer for a month. It is bigger in person than on the picture; it is about 4 feet long and 2 feet deep. Only problem I had is that I didn't have it cracked a little when I first started it so the moist air shut my freezer tight. I guess that is a good thing because the seal on the freezer is excellent. I recommend not shutting your freezer all the way until it has been running for about an hour. Using a 1/4 inch think book or magazine can leave adequate space for initial...
Welcome to the Frigidaire family, Elijah! Glad to hear that the gasket is sealing properly on your new freezer! -Courtney

Perfect size freezer
Had purchased another brand and was disappointed. The temperature never dropped below 27 degrees. Had to box it back up, hoist it back up onto my truck, and take that 45 minute trip to Lowes to return it. Decided to purchase this Frigidaire. Knowing the dependability of this brand because the refrigerator in my kitchen is a Frigidaire that I’ve had for quite a few years without any issues. (Hope I haven’t jinxed myself). I got this unit home, manhandled it down to my basement, and took it out of...
Decent quality, simple freezer.
Pros - Quiet, cools well and doesn't need to kick on often to maintain the temp (good insulation/sealing) Cons - No leveling legs provided, no temp gauge or alarm built in. Overall, it's a good appliance for the cost. Very straight forward, simple freezer. It would be nice if they threw in a temp gauge & alarm (it's a $10 part, if that) and some kind of cheap rubber feet to help reduce vibration against tile/solid flooring. Though, both of those issues can solved easily and cheaply with part...
