What Customers Are Saying
The product offers good power and efficiency for cutting branches up to 2 inches in diameter, with a long reach and sharp blades that make trimming tasks easier. Users generally find the loppers to be heavy-duty and durable, though some note they can be cumbersome in tight spaces. While a few customers have experienced issues with the blades over time, the product is considered a valuable tool for yard work and land clearing.

These loppers were doing a fantastic job. I was cutting down overgrown hedges, so none of the cuts were even close to 2 inches. I've only had the loppers about a week, and suddenly the blade snapped off. I am a 58 year old woman with weak muscles - there is no way I was capable of exerting enough force to break that blade - but it broke and flew off, fortunately in a direction away from me. I have loppers as old as I am, and I've never broken a blade! I have emailed Fiskars warranty to see...
Lasts forever!
I’ve had mine for about 2 years of light use, but this year I’ve used it extensively while clearing land- roughly an acre- lopping branches off logs and cutting down saplings. It still cuts really well up to 2.5 on juicy maples and poplars. When this blade goes bad, I’ll definitely get a blade replacement. Two downsides: you gotta get a wide spread with the handles, so if working in a confined space it could be a problem. Also, I’ve lost it a few times in the leaves since it doesn’t grab the eye...
Harder To Use
While it lives up to Fiskars quality standards, it's an inferior design compared to Fiskars Racheting Loppers, which are much easier to use and generate more power, these are much more difficult to use. To get a 2 inch branch into the jaws of these loppers, the handles have to be opened 180 degrees (see photo). So instead of pulling the handles together with them separated in a 45 to 90 degree angle where you have lots of shoulder power, you have to pull both handles toward you while trying to...
The best loppers!
It takes a while to get used to how you have to approach a branch with the curved pressure blade and to get the handles very widely opened, but once you learn that, you will love these loppers. If you can put one handle on the ground and use both hands to press down and close them, you can even cut branches bigger than 2.5". This is very handy to clean the branches off a tree that has fallen down or that you just cut down. It is much faster and safer than doing all the limbing with a chai...
Not for short armed people
Yes the loppers are powerful, BUT the user must have arms the length of an orangutan. In order to open the shears fully the handles must open to nearly 180 degrees! I found them unusable for most of my pruning projects as I need to mostly cut large branches, not 1/2" diameter. I am going to have to buy a more user friendly loppers. These are impractical in everyday use. Potential buyers should try to fully open them in the store first as they aren't inexpensive.

Either Poor Design or Poor Quality Control!
This lopper cuts good initially but quickly the bolt holding the two blades together starts to loosen. I now have to tighten the bolt every few minutes to keep using this looper. If you don't keep tightening the bolt the blades get so loose they will not cut. I am disappointed that they could not design the bolt to stay tight.

Fiskars Lopper
great cutting torque and easily cut through 2" branches. I would have rated it a 5 except my only complaint is the amount of opening for the handles. Way to wide to get around the branches.

Excellentbypass loppers
My new loppers are fabulous. I am almost 80 years old and am not particularly strong but I have been trimming back rhododendron and spruce trees with ease and am so thankful I bought them. My children are amazed at the pile of limbs I’ve cut by myself!
