terrible First Alert Customer Service
Happy with the Dual Sensor option, and the units look well made and were easy to install. They came with two Duracell Coppertop AA batteries also. The battery compartment is easily accessible without taking down the entire unit like the previous units. Even if I had to take the units down, they are now better made allowing easy on and off of the base. I purchased 9 of these units, 6 in a "contractor's package", and 3 additional ones individually. NONE of them came with any hardware at all, just...
Poor packing at least in my case
Not an issue with product but five relatively sensitive smoke detectors were shipped not in a box or anything protection someone just wrapped some tape around them and shipped all five boxes we were pretty beat up so hopefully they work

The smoke alarm may not have been used before. But it was not new in the box. Looked like an open box return. So, disappointed that I didn't get a new in the box product.
