This product made getting rid of a stump much easier. Only caveat was for how long it is, I wish the side pieces were a little more wider or flared out. This had a tendency to go deep without fully splitting the log. Probably didn't help that it was a stump and not a cut section but either way seems like they could be a little wider.

Tends To Bounce Out
I wish the Tip was more Tapered. It is easy to get set, but then getting past the first 1/2 inch is difficult. Once deeper, it works great. I love it has a second wedge; near the striking side. It is not needed on easily split wood, like Ash or Locust, but is great on Elm; which sometimes does not split until you are totally through it.

Not tapered. Bounces out constantaly
Horrible taper on wedge. Just ann overpriced hunk of metal. Even if the wedge was placed in a 2-3” crack, the wedge kept bouncing out when struck. Found an antique wedge for $5 that did the trick.

Made in America and very will made at that. Steel doesn't chip off, and splits wood very easily
