I put 2 of these kindling sticks on top of a starter brickette and that has been working great for getting my fireplace going this year.

Not as pictured

Bought a bunch of these online, they are not as pictured. I had bought the ones as pictured "Ez burn kindling" in store last year. Could not find them in store this year so purchased online. well what was sent was not the ones as pictured and had half the amount of these bags. very disappointed.

product misrepresentation in photo and description

The product shown on the web site with a red and white label reading "KILN-DRIED KINDLING" by Lost Coast Forest Products is not what you get when you go to your local Lowes store. The photo on the web site is left over from last year's product, which did look like that. I bought several packs, and was very pleased with them. WRONG DESCRIPTION

I ordered this item and wanted to pick it up in store. The description says 0.33 cu ft but it is actually 0.21 cu ft. This is a very good product but the description is deceiving.

I went from happy to disappointed

I purchased about 6 bags of this and loved it. Quick to light, burns for a while while getting my firewood to catch. Then I went to buy more and noticed that these are not all created equal. The new batch that the store had are really light and there not as many pieces. See pictures. The bag on the left is one of the original bags that I bought and it weighs 8 lbs, the bag on the right weighs 3 lbs.

When my husband is away and I can't or don't want to cut kindling, I just pull out about 6 of these and a couple of paper plates and easily start my own fire in our wood burning stove. Effortless for me. So glad I came across these. I always pick up a couple of bundles when I'm at Lowes just so I have some on hand all the time. Great for the price and even better when you get your military discount. Thanks Lowes!kitty

Light up fast

Quick light, great value. Got my fire roaring very quickly with a few sticks and some newspaper.
