For a grab-and-go headlamp, the Energizer 400 is a solid choice. It's surprisingly bright, throwing a good beam for walking the dog or digging through the garage. The multiple modes, especially the red light, are genuinely useful for not blinding yourself or others. Never thought I’d use this as much

I got this a few years so and it’s unreal how many times I needed it. You wouldn’t usually think you’d need a headlight fit acetate things but I did. I use it to go into my attic or crawlspace, I use it to cut my toenails (sorry tmi), I use it for puzzles, etc. It was definitely worth it. The charge lasts a long time and it’s super bright yet you can dim it as well.

What's not to like?

Affordable. Available. Other reviews were as good as more expensive products, which all have their weaknesses. Lightweight, almost forget I am wearing it. Lithium. Good choice for hands free repair work. Also useful for snow blowing at night to help see and to be seen. Recommended it to another person who also likes it for hands free work. Low setting is good enough for many uses while conserving the battery. Headband worked well.
