Elkay 3.25-in Stainless steel Rust Resistant Strainer

Regular version is great. This one, not so much!

We just installed a Lustertone Classic double bowl kitchen sink with Perfect Drain. The sink came with a similar drain plug for the non-disposal side of the sink. We installed a disposal and wanted a matching stopper so we purchased this one for the disposal. If closed lightly like the regular stopper that came with the sink, it leaks. Makes for a slow drain

These don't really work. The sink either drains slow or the strainer drops and plugs the sink. I have six of them because the company kept thinking I had defective ones and they kept sending them to me. I don't use any of them and wish I could sell them

Poor Quality Control

I purchased and installed an Elkay Lustertone Iconic Perfect Undermount SS sink 3 years ago. The sink included the satin finish strainer.  Unfortunately, the welding of the strainer shaft to the basket corroded and the unit fell apart.  I am very disappointed in Elkay's quality control.  The strainer should definitely last more than three years in a household environment!
