EasyFlex Tree Trunk Protectors protect young trees against the damage of string trimmers, gardening tools and equipment, rodents and other small pests. No more unsightly black pipes around the base of your trees. The 9 in. tall coils were specially developed to blend with tree bark. The round tube form supports itself and will not lose its shape in hot sun, unlike other flat tree guards. The functional slotted design allows airflow around the tree, protecting against bark rot. For trees larger than 4 in. diameter, connect two or more coils using the practical expansion tabs. Manufactured from 100% recycled materials. Pack includes (6) 9 in. coils.

Junk, don't waste your money.. These are very flimsy plastic with tabs that are supposed to snap together. They do but don't stay together. The tabs on the bottoms are supposed to push into the soil. Maybe if it was sand they might. Very disappointed that Lowes would carry such a flimsy product as this.

I wish they were taller to offer more protection from pests/rodents. I like the slots and breathability they offer. I found it very difficult to press the angled tab into a slot to lock in place--then how do I get them back out when I need to remove or adjust for growing trunk? I ended up not locking the tab fully into a slot and letting it coil naturally around the small trunks of newly planted young trees. I mainly am after a deterrent to prevent rabbits and the like from nibbling. Hopefully t...
