Haven't used to cut a big tree, but I did use on a lot of 3 inch diameter trees, was like knife cutting through butter. And no mixing oil and gas, cleaning air filter are the loudness of a gas saw! Planning on cutting a 10 inch diameter tree soon, so will see if it's up to it?

I already have an ego string trimmer with 2 batteries. It was a no brainer to get the 16" electric saw for the cheapest price $219!!!!! With the battery and charger.
