Rip off

Rip off. Just a cheap sheet of plastic but that wasn't even the real issue. The real issue is the dishonest advertising revealing a clear intent to mislead. The title "patio door/xL window insulation kit" indicates this is for either a patio door or an Xtra large window. But it's easy to see when you open the product that it was not designed for a patio door or any door. It's a fixed sheet of plastic designed to be sealed at the perimeter meaning installation eliminates the function of a door....

Tape Sucks

The tape is trash. Save your money. Had 8x6 windows that were a bit large to cover couldn't even get it to cover two feet of the top without it peeling off.

Great product

This window insulation kit is awesome. I covered 2 windows very early, and I can fell the difference from those 2 drafty windows.

Keeps cold air out

I bought these kits to put up inside and outside of my window AC units. I did it alone, but would be easier it 2 people worked in it. I'm very pleased with the product. Will buy again. I bought at a big retail store.

I have been using this product for years. I love it. Last year I moved and did my windows, this time it did not work very good. I have had to do my living room 6 times and I need to do it again. The plastic comes loose from the tape every few weeks. First I thought the tape was coming off the windows, but actually the plastic is coming loose from the tape. I do not understand why that keeps happening. I guess I need to find another brand.

Good product for winter

Love that this product and it helped keep the cold air tremendously. Was a little difficult to put up and doesn't look too good asthetically but it definitely does the job!

Adhesive Strips WONT stick to window seal

We have 10 windows that we wanted to seal for the winter months. Each window seal was cleaned with an alcohol wiped and let dry properly. Still these duct tape brand adhesive strips would not stick. I tried heating them with the hair dryer to get them to stick and still they stick for a few moments and curl off. If the adhesive strips weren’t faulty this would be a good product. Possibly a bad roll of adhesive, but all and all a waste of money.

Awful. Tape doesn’t stick.

it’s useless. The double sided tape that comes with the kit will not stay stick to the plastic sheet. I seems like when it gets cold it just unsticks, defeating the entire purpose of the kit.

Seems to work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This does the trick in a pinch. We are using it in the basement as it isn’t the prettiest solution but it is trapping out the cold winter air so the heat bill isn’t quite as high. Great and affordable solution. Thank you.
