Should be marketed as 1800W surge / 1500W contin
I got this mainly for two reasons: 1) because I wanted a bit more power than my old Honda EU2000i could put out, (2) because I wanted a lighter generator. Well, I got the light weight (15lbs lighter!) but this thing will only run for ~10 sec w/ a 1800W load, then it will trip the overload. All testing was performed at 500’ elevation on a 60F degree day. Again, under a 1800W load, the DieHard2400 drew 17.1A @ 105VAC, but then tripped after ~ 10s. Great generator and quiet
So far I have been happy with this generator. Starts easily and much quieter than I expected.

Great budget generator
Happy with the features and the sale price made this generator a great value! Set-up was fast and easy. We took it camping for a week and it performed as well as I had hoped. It can handle all appliances on our travel trailer except the 13,500 BTU rooftop a/c. It is lightweight and easy to transport. Noise level is on par with our old Honda E2000.

Good budget inverter generator
Pleasantly surprised with overall quality and value. I bought it mainly for our 20 ft travel trailer and it works well for that purpose. It performed great on our recent camping trip. We don't have a large rooftop AC, but it can power our portable 4500 BTU AC while also running the fridge and charging the solar generator at the same time. This unit replaces two 17-year-old EU2000i Honda's that sold with our larger RV. While the Diehard doesn't match the design and build quality of the Honda, it'...

Fuel capacity/runtime
Just picked up my Diehard 2400w today, operator manual listed .63 for fuel tank, website listed .80 other sites list 1.1 fuel tank. OM HAS NO listed runtime, Lowes website lists 5 hours @ 1/2 load full tank, NO WAY on a .63 tank size. Using stopwatch on my phone to record runtime I'm probably going to get around 7.5 -8 hrs. runtime on a full tank at 70 watt load. Same issue with WEN 2800w, I got 8.5 hrs runtime full tank at 70 watts, I took it back and got the Diehard. 1. you cant list r...
