Rod Longer than Delta Indicated in a Review

I based my purchase on Delta response to a customer who complained it was too long and Delta responded "Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for your review! We do apologize that this product did not meet your expectations. Our standard horizontal rod is 6.125" in length which is industry standard." That is the measurement I need for under bathroom sink but the one I got was 10.5" for just the metal rod part, not even counting the plastic appendage.

ASHLYN HORIZONTAL ROD FOR DRAIN METAL POP UP

Just had a new Ashlyn bathroom faucet installed. The horizontal rod that comes with the faucet is about 4 inches too short. My plumber had to 90 degree bend the down strap in two places for the horizontal rod to connect thus now not a smooth operation. I asked Delta Customer Service to provide the longer horizontal rod for this new faucet - I was sent a link to purchase the correct length horizontal rod. Chrome Bathroom Sink Pop Up Drain Kit

The steel rod is way to long to fit under toilet sink due to clearance to wall of cabinet, Lowes refuse to cut the rod to suit the clearance and I don't have the tools to do it myself. Why was there no dimentions on the online page to let buyers know if it would fit.

Delta Pop Up Drain Kit - Universal!

Very well made and has plastic coating on the end so it should not rust. Problem is, I have a Moen drain, it said universal and I read reviews that said it was too long, I cut it to fit my drain area. The plastic coated end was too long for my drain and the ball would not fit into my opening in the drain. When I tried to modify the ball, it became un-usable. I ended up cutting the rusted end off the old rod and threaded that through the ball. A little short, but worked.

Don’t buy... rod doesn’t fit into plastic ball

Received 2 pieces and the rod / shaft was too wide to fit into the plastic ball section.... poor quality control... I’ll be returning this purchase

My Bad ...

I took a shot at it and ordered this for the stopper in my sink. Turned out to be way too big as a replacement. Thats on me. I’ll hang on to for something ... lol

Needs trimming

Consider this product to be a "universal" solution. Both ends had to be trimmed to proper length to fit in my sink.

Just what I needed

The rod was a little too long so I had to cut off about an inch, but other than that it was great. No fault of the product that I had to shorten it. Glad it was too long!!!!!
