Very nice shutter hinges.

Attractive and easy to install.

Lowe's charges a restocking fee.

The product was fine I am upset that I had to pay a restocking fee.

Straightforward once you get the hang of it.

The "spring of these hinges are a bit forgiving, but buy new screws. Once I figured out how to install them( no instructions come with them) the rest is history. My method is to line up the outside edge of the hinge with the outside edge of the upper and lower rails of the shutter. We used new #8 wood screws to attach them and not the lightweight #6's that came with the set. This step can be done with the shutter flat on a table or saw horses. They work, after straightening up the alignment.

They work ok, but are not high quality. Most of the pintel pieces are a bit crooked and I had to twist them with a crescent wrench to straighten them out. Also, the strap piece that mounts to the shutter was a challenge for me. Due to the layout of my windows, I had to outside mount the straps (the straps are showing when the shutters are open). The fold in the hinge metal near the loop (the part that fits onto the pintel pin), did not allow the strap to sit flush on my shutters. I had to c...
