Threads and Drive Pins Misaligned

Would Not Recommend

Quick-change arbor cannot thread securely against hole-saw and have drive pins engage. The gap caused by the misalignment causes runout in the circular cutting path and negatively impacts cut diameter and quality.

Would Recommend

I bought this and two hole saws to go with it. IT is very well made and easy to use. The hole saws are easy to attach and take off, and they attach securely. It took me a minute or two to figure out that you pull down of the part that the hole saws rest on/attach to. But once I got that, this worked like a charm. I find in general that DeWalt's stuff is well made and works. I have some of their cordless tools and clamps. This is arbor and the hole saws I got for it are very good too.

DIY | Be Careful. Chuck is 1/2 Inch.

I unpacked what appears to be a high quality chuck designed to fit the round DeWalt blade I had purchased (It fits the blade very well, actually). I was surprised to learn that the chuck was far too large to fit my standard 110V drill. It makes sense that a larger saw would require more horsepower, but because I am a DIY with standard tools, this is not the solution that works for me to drill 4" holes in plywood. Please don't make the same mistake.

I use this for work. No replacement bits?

Would Not Recommend

As the title says, after using this many times for serious work I broke the pilot bit. It’s proprietary and can’t find it even on the dewalt website. I’m not paying $25 for a new saw. Real serious tool makers sell pilot bits knowing they will be broken someday.
