Collar snapped

I bought this Delta mortising attachment some 25 years ago. As another review's pictures, mine snapped 25 years ago.This is on a 30 year old Delta drill press. Apparently still the same poor quality?

I wasted my money buying this kit . I have a Bauer 5 speed 10 inch drill press and once I attached the Morticing bracket the drill bit does not reach the drill press chuck with the recommended spacing between the drill bit and mortice bit . The drill shafts are too short !!!!!!!!!!

All that is needed for mortising except the press!

Adaptable & complete kit will help with shop work.

If you are into woodworking it’s worth it

I have been looking for this for a long while now, I bought it received it, checked it out. I see that it looks heavy duty, and solid. The finish is somewhat crude still nice for what I need it for.

Mortice set

This worked great on my off brand drill press after a couple of modification the the drill press. All in all this product works great.

Good Product but Doesn't Work on a 12" Bench

I bought this for my 12" Delta Bench Drill Press # 11-990. I attached it fine, but when I tried to drill a 1" mortise, I found that the bushing required to fit the mortising attachment to the drill took up 3/4" of the 1 1/8" travel of the drill. Therefore, I could only drill a 3/8" mortise! I called Delta Support and after waiting for 40 minutes to talk to someone knowledgable, was told that the mortising attachment was designed to fit a 12" RADIAL Drill Press, and not a 12" BENCH drill Press...

Used it a few times on my Delta drill press and had constant movement in the main casting. Finally the entire frame broke. The casting looks to be made with low grade “pig” iron. I ended up throwing the entire jig in the garbage

Delta Mortising Attachment

I used to have faith in Felta products being high quality until this. I bought this attachment in December and used it to make mortises for some cherry beds I was building and it worked well. I pulled it out again to cut some more mortises about 3 weeks ago. It was working fine but the main piece of the attachment started sliding on my drill press (Craftsman 15”). Good solution at a reasonable price

Wrestled with whether to bit the bullet and pay $350+ for a mortising machine. Decided to take a chance on this product. Got it last week and just finished my first project. It worked really well! It fit my Sears 10" table top drill press fine.
