Love and Hate Crocpot
Ive been using Crock-Pot for more than 40 years now and love them( except the switch to plastic lids that melt ) LOVE THE BRAND!! I bought this crock-pot(SCV700-KR ) for my daughter for her birthday. Its been about 2 years now and she let me know that the handel just broke right off the lid. She was pretty upset about it because she uses it often cooking for 2 boys. Never reached safe cooking temperature
Took this home and put it to work immediately, cooking on high. Several hours later the food inside still had not gotten above 140 degrees even though the outside was too hot to even touch. Very disappointed, will be returning it tomorrow.

Have used it for years!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Long story short, my husband tried to get me more comfortable and confident in the kitchen. However, I’m just not skilled and kind of a danger with a stove. So I turned to a slow cooker for my meal nights. I received this model as a wedding gift and it has worked great! It’s big enough for an entree to feed a family of 5, with some leftovers for some recipes. I am now looking into other sizes for breakfasts, dips etc!

Poor Quality To Start
I love the Crockpot brand. This is my 3rd in 45 years & I probably should have just replaced the broken lid, as the unit still functioned. But I wanted bigger. The 7qt insert is awful!!! Pits, numerous bare spots in the paint. Orange peel in the paint. The crock is very thin & the housing seems thin as well. Because of the price point, I will keep it until it dies.
