Nice bright lantern
Well made, very bright kerosene lantern. Don’t use the Coleman 21 mantles that come with it. It will blow holes in them. Use peerless mantles.

It's not bad built for these days and times but it
I use this in the north country once in a while. I'll put it in my pickup truck without me. In it to preheat the cab and defrost the windshield, then I take it out and start the truck up and it's nice and warm in there and ventilated a little bit, but it really doesn't smell much at all, especially if you run clean burn instead of kerosene from the pump. God bless everyone.

I’ve owned many products from Coleman, always been intrigued with the lanterns since my first encounter camping as a youngster with family. Living in Florida most of my life hurricanes have been a constant reminder the need for a reliable light source, always used white gas lanterns as a source of light from the beginning. A new old friend
I got my new coleman lantern. latest in a string of Coleman lanterns I have owned. My old one is due for some TLC so I made that an excuse for a new one. Kerosene makes sense since I keep it around for emergency heat. It arrived in one piece so I did the usual setup, filled it and put some alcohol in the cup. These days I live in a small city, so I didn't have a dozen pair of coyote eyes watching. It lit the first time without the theatrics of the gas jobs and settled into the old familiar hiss....
