So Far, So Good
Four years now and no problems, just a new battery this year. And contrary to other reviews on here, you CAN mow in reverse. (read the manual) It starts fine, runs strong, and has a nice, wide cut.
Poorly Built
Got 3 years out of this before compression release on camshaft failed. Had issues right away but with this latest failure its not worth repairing. It is cheaply made and not built to last. Lowes makes good profits on selling this cheap selling imposter craftsman. They keep renaming these mowers to fool people but still pieces of junk
4 years and engine smoking
First the engagement cable 3 times and today I was mowing and the engine started putting out white smoke and useing oil
Great mower if you love maintenance
Three years, like seven belts, a new blade engage cable and a new battery. Bought this mower because my dads had the same craftsman for twenty years and this thing stinks.
Horrible
Had one of these things for a few years now. All you do is work on them. And now can't get parts from Lowe's. Never will I buy another craftsman.
It's terrible don't waste your money
We purchased one a couple years ago and it caused nothing but problems. It broke down on us 5 times in 2 years. Save your money and get a different brand because this one is junk.

Not the Craftman of yesterday
The belt broke twice in 3 years, battery was replaced twice. Stalls just about every time I use it. Today, the engine blew, Save your money and I wish i would have rebuilt my previous - had it for a decade and never had trouble with engine.

Broken down 3 times in 3 years
I've had the same experience as the review Justlocal on this site. I bought the T140 with the B&S 18.5 hp mower and for the first couple of years it ran fine. Precisely at the 2 year mark (end of the warranty) the motor crapped out and Lowe's was kind enough to repair/replace it (not sure which, they never said, just didn't charge me). Less than a year later, would not start again and took it to a local small engine mechanic - the camshaft gear/compression release lever had broken off (again)...

Decent for the price
This is a decent machine for the price. Since craftsman was bought by black and decker good luck getting someone on the phone for a warranty repair. The reverser button doesn't work 6 months after buying it.
Breaks too much
I don't normally write reviews, but had to for this one. Like many others, I had this less than a year before the PTO cable broke. I bought a replacement and fixed it myself after learning about the ridiculous cost and wait of having the store ship it out for fixing. Now, the mower is less than 2 years old and is having trouble getting gas (mower dies after a few minutes) from what is either a faulty carburator or a bad fuel shutoff solenoid, neither of which should be failing at this point. Don...
