The two lights are wired together and cannot be removed from the stand and operated as stand-alone units. The stand is complete junk. The screws used to hold the mount together, where most of the stress is placed, utilize four screws suitable for a cheap watch. The stand fell apart on the second use. I did not manhandle it in any way. The lights are bright though.

Very bright ! I personally hang the lights up rather than use the tripod, they are quite blinding if you accidentally catch one of those bright suckers at eye level. Your only limitation is how long of an extension cord you have

Poor design. Craftsman portable tripod light
Power cord too shortonly 3ft, does reach floor. Bracket broke where lights mount to tripod immediately without impact damage - had to zip tie. Will not stand to tallest position in cold weather as clamps won't hold and slides to short position on own.
