18 gauge keeps jamming

I’ve been using this Craftsman 18-gauge brad nailer for standard trim and light woodworking projects, and it has been nothing but a headache. Even when using the correct 18-gauge brad nails, the tool consistently jams or misfires. It makes the firing sound and releases air, but no nail comes out — again and again. Really disappointed in the reliability. I expected better from Craftsman. Would not recommend this for anyone who needs a dependable nailer for regular use.

Perfect tool

Purchased the wrong one the pneumatic one so I had to go back and return it and get the correct one which was quite a bit more but I’m very happy with it. I’ve already used it. It’s a great product and the nails that I also bought of course, their nails done no problem with those at all the only thing I wish was a little different. I wish that the manual had a larger print of 65 years old. I could barely read any of it I’d use a magnifying glass and nobody likes to do that back-and-forth tennis ...

Still in the box

Haven't used it yet. But shopping experience and delivery were great. Easy to find on the website. Not in the store so had to have it delivered to the door. That went well - quick coming from TN to the West coast.

Good for finish work

This is a good nailer for finish work. Not to put fences. Had it for 3 years now.

Advertised as a stapler for narrow crown stoles and is only a Brad nailer. What gives?

Stay away from this nailer! The price may seem attractive, but Craftsman products are not what they used to be. I read the many negative reviews before purchasing, but thought, "maybe I'll be the fortunate one who will have no problems." Wrong! The same problems others expressed were what I experienced. I would shoot a couple nails and have to stop to clear the jam...or whatever it was that kept it from nailing. I can't express strongly enough how aggravating it was to disconnect the air s...
