Looks nice, but not reliable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had an older Briggs & Stratton home standby generator and it failed many times. I spoke with the dealer who said it’s old and should be upgraded. I purchased a new 12kw unit last summer. Just lost power and guess what, the new unit failed. Has an AVR fault. If you want reliability, don’t buy a Briggs and Stratton.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Turn key installation. My power company put it in. Runs on LP gas from a 500 gallon tank, so we should have plenty of time if the power goes out. It exercises itself once a week for 20 minutes.

My only complaint is just a couple of months after my purchase they started gving a 10 year warranty, I only have 6 years.
