The Bosch JS120 12V Max Barrel-Grip Jig Saw provides fast cutting and long runtime, making it ideal for cutting out unique shapes in multiple materials. An outstanding tool for finish carpenters, cabinet makers or kitchen installers, this compact jig saw has a compact size – just 9.4 In. long and only 3.0 Lbs. (tool only, not including battery). It provides a three-stage orbital action to match cutting execution with application, powering up to 2,800 strokes per minute, and it has a counterbalanced low-vibration plunge mechanism. It has a 45° bevel angle range. This light jig saw can cut through wood and aluminum; it delivers a 2.5 In. maximum capacity in wood. It has single-handed blade change with a tool-free T-Shank blade design (does not accept U-shank blades). It also has an integrated LED light.

Would Not Recommend

Cuts well and the variable speed and orbital settings are very nice. However, the sawdust buildup without a dust collection option, and the need to turn the tool on to engage the light and the battery indicator make this a middle of the road experience.

Bad design with no dust blower

Would Not Recommend

This just isn't a very good tool, though it's very convenient for size and weight. I bought this for cutting scribes as part of my cabinet installation kit, but find it pretty useless because it doesn't have a dust blower. Without that, as soon as you start to cut you can no longer see your line, unless you can somehow blow continuously yourself. Thus, it's unusable for precision work of any kind, so I don't know what or who it's supposed to be for, actually.

Cordless jigsaw

Would Recommend

The jigsaw blade orbit selector is a nice feature that allows custom setting for the material being cut. Also has a cool work light as well as an anti-splinter attachment. Enjoy the cordless feature, and uses the same 12 volt battery as my other Bosch tools!

Light weight Jig Saw with limited capabilities

This is a bare tool with limited capability. It comes with a 4" T144D blade which is not ideal for wood cutting since it is a 6 TPI blade. One needs to buy a 12 V Bosch battery in addition to the tool. Th unit is lightweight and appears useful for very small woodworking projects. There is just an on/off switch which is somewhat stiff. One has to first turn on the unit and then start cutting and good luck if you have to turn the unit off during a cut! A trigger switch would have been nice so that...
