Quality control problem
As other reviewers have noted over the last 1.5 years, this thing wouldn't even turn under its own weight. As soon you put any pressure on the sanding pad, the motor immediately bogs down to a standstill. And with no pressure the motor over-revs. Apparently not all units are like this, but it's enough that Bosch obviously has a long-lasting quality control problem that they are aware of but are totally ignoring. Bosch Ros20vs orbital sander/ polisher
I bought it several years ago but just yesterday had a need to use it. I fired it up and felt sticky substance on my fingers. The red plastic border around the on/ off switch was melted. What do I do with it now? Could that plastic had softened on its own over time? It ran for an instant but I switched it off as soon as I realized there was a problem.

Worthless pice of junk
Bought this one year ago and I have only used it twice. First time it worked ok. The second time I used it about two minutes into sanding it kicked the breaker in my shop. I changed to a different outlet started the sander was working on an edge of my project and it kicked that breaker. The sander wasn't very dirty. I wanted to love it
My Bosch Colt trim router is probably my favorite woodworking tool and I'm very happy with my Bosch router bits. With that in mind, I really had high hopes for this sander, but it was not to be. For starters, the pad won't hold any net discs such as 3M Extract. They just spin right out of place. The whole purpose of buying this was to get more speed than my 20V Porter-Cable; again, no luck. Easy to use from box to project
This orbital sander was super easy to unbox and get to work! We used it to prepare wood for wood burning. It was efficient at sanding. The bag to collect sawdust was wonderful!
