Variable Speed Router
Too many inexperienced woodworkers don't understand that large diameter router bits like this must be used in a variable speed router turned down to the slowest speed possible which will work for whatever material is being routed. Too fast and there will be burning, tearout, the bit will dull quickly, and will become caked with burnt pitch. The proper rpm's will ensure this bit will cut cleanly and last for a long time.
Great bit
I used it to rabbet some red oak boards, and it cut through the wood like butter, leaving a very smooth, straight groove. No complaints.
