Tight clearance, this is the best bet.
I have used this product before and it’s a perfect replacement for tight space from the water heater to the ceiling. This helps solve sulfur smell being that is aluminum compare compared to magnesium. My experience with the product was positive. Again, the product were removing the sulfur smell was a big help and saving and extending the life of the water heater. The best fit for the product is tight clearance.

The brand sticker needs to go
The rod seems fine for my 50 gallon Rheem. The sticker at the top of it that needs to be removed before installation has to go. You can hardly even see the sticker when it’s in the packaging. Completely unnecessary.
