Who calls this rope? It’s fine for twine.
This twine is fine for what it is. A little uneven, but that’s mostly to be expected in a natural product. It’s good for when you need to bundle something but the cord should be biodegradable. No idea why they would choose to call this rope. In the event you’re ordering it sight unseen, know this is twine. It’s sisal fibers in a single twist, not multiple twists then twisted together. It’s not rope.

Burnt plastic smell
I used this rope to rewrap part of my cat tree. It looked fine at first, but after a few days, it started giving off a burnt plastic smell. The odor was strong enough that I had to stop letting my cat use that section.

What were the oils used to treat this rope? It's still a little oily to the touch and has kept a chemical smell for several days since I used it. Is the oil safe for kids to have on their hands?
