It does what it’s supposed to do.

It does what it’s supposed to do.I bought this to add light in my attic and I was able to clip it to a beam and direct it where I needed it to shine and didn’t have to go into big long wiring escapades to make it happen. Just an extension cord and a bulb and we were good to go.

Great product with some minor flaws.

I have purchased 15 or more of this particular light. These are wonderful for positioning an extra light for working on almost anything. There are two main issues I have, 1 the reflector is very soft metal and bends and dents very easily. 2 the screw and tighten mechanism only really works if you have a light lite bulb. A heavier bulb will twist the screw no matter how tight you try to tighten it.

Serves its purpose for reptile heating

I have a couple of these types of work lights; used for reptile cage for my bearded dragon. This particular one keeps coming apart. There is a threaded ring that is in place to keep the silver dome connected to the light socket. For some reason, it keeps coming loose, and it appears not to tighten very well. As the review title states, it serves its purpose, but I would buy another brand if I need another portable work light.

Good value for the cost.

I have just purchased two of them for indoor video lighting. Using CFL 23 watts @ 5000K bulbs they do a great job and give out plenty of light for the purpose that I am using them for. No heat generated from them, making it easier to handle also to relocate and adjust the light as needed. I will need to purchase two more of the larger ones to complete my lighting system. It wold be great if they had longer cords on them, twelve feet would be perfect.

Good Design

The reflector is deep enough to hold a light bulb without it extending past the end of it. This allows setting it down without the bulb touching the floor and breaking. The smaller diameter allows it to be used in tighter places like under sinks. I'm using an LED bulb so get a lot of light with much less heat than an incandescent bulb. The switch seems well-made with a good cord.

Have to have more than one

These "work lights" have been around forever. I have them everywhere in the home, garage and shop. The smaller reflector of this model is more practical and convenient than the larger parabolic style. These are bargain grade materials, and not made for professional shop use. They are handy when you need "portable" light in unusual places.

Lights to keep my citrus trees from freezing

I bought 4 of these to use under my 4 citrus trees to protect them from freezing, along with a frost cover. They do what I needed them to do. PROS: They're nice because you can just clip them to a lower branch or a stake in the ground if you have one. They do what they need to do - hold a light build, give you a power connection, and a switch to turn it on and off. CONS: A little expensive, I think. The metal shroud comes off easily also.

Excellent item to use for heating a pump house.

Prior to very cold weather arriving I purchased this light for the purpose of keeping my well pump house pipes from freezing. Clamped on a water line with a 75W bulb it works just fine. It kept my pipes from freezing in 9 degree temperatures. I think it would also work well in a dog house to provide warmth for a dog. Simple , inexpensive solution to prevent a costly repair.

Covers many houseplants at a time

This light is small enough to clip on the back of a (cheap) chair, yet provides enough light to hit plants in 3 different windows in the same room. Better than expected for the low price! I have also dropped to twice already, and am very happy there is no damage. Plus the cover is big enough to portect the bulb!

Exactly what i needed

I need a small but bright light to attach to my work bench to get more light where i need it when i need it. This light is perfect for this job. It hangs anywhere and doesn't weigh much so finding something to hold it is simple. So if you need a portable light that can go anywhere and provide the light you need right where you need it then this is the light you want . Very satisfied with my purchase
