Lowe's offers in store cutting of galvanized pipe. This structural pipe is schedule 30, the threaded galvanized plumbing pipe in the bay right next to it is schedule 40. The associate at my local Lowe's refused to cut this thinner walled pipe, but said she could cut the schedule 40 stuff instead. Now my choice is to buy blades and cut it myself, or to go across the street to the competition for the same price.

Good quality product

This was exactly what I was looking for to support my bird house. It is heavy duty made with quality materials. I wish could have got it in black but was able to paint it. I would definitely recommend it.

Neighbors ramp

Built ramp out of Architectural Pipe & Fittings because I had no way of cutting and threading odd lengths of regular pipe. I used a saws all to cut the pipe at moderate speed with metal cutting blades. I cut the 3/4" plywood & 2"x12" x 4' with my skill saw. I used a primer to spray the pipe and platform top & bottom. I secured the ramp to the concrete floor with Tap-con's ; All purchase from stock at Lowe's.

It's a piece of pipe. I needed a piece of pipe. What's not to like?

Hard to Find

Very happy with Lowe's now carrying B&K SteelTek products. Use to have to buy online and shipping was expensive. Now that Lowe's has begun to stock it has made projects a bit easier. Although Lowe's only stocks in their larger stores and limits the amount of 10 foot by 1-1/4 inch pipe ( not more than 3 per store) I don't mind the drive.

Your imagination is your only limit

I bought several products by this manufacture Steel-Tek. I purchased both the 3/4” and 1 1/4”, I wanted to build two tables for my wedding. Very easy product to work with and reconfigure on the fly.

Size is misrepresented.

The outside diameter is 1 11/16. The inside is not 1 1/4. Very sturdy pipe. Make sure you measure before you purchase this pipe.

built a bar foot rest with components. Super easy to work with. Easy to customize sizing. Much easier to work with than threaded pipe.
