Learn MoreThe Awntech Key West is a heavy-duty cassette patio retractable awning. It is suitable for sunny weather and can cover outdoor spaces with widths up to 24 feet and depths up to 10 feet. This gives you the perfect opportunity to entertain family and friends or simply relax on a hot summer day. The cassette protects the top, front, and sides of the awning from sunlight, wind, snow, and rain, when retracted. The frame is powder-coated, commercial grade steel and aluminum. The fabric canopy is made out of Beauty-Mark branded 100% woven acrylic fabric and is available in a variety solid and stripe colors. A valance is included and can be easily removed and stored during off-seasons. Each Awntech retractable awning is delivered fully assembled. Awntech retractable awnings designed with a focus on a DIY (do-it-yourself) approach where the customer has the option to mount their awning in a simple two-step process. Awntech awnings are recognized for their high quality materials and affordable prices. Every awning includes a rocker arm crank handle, valance, a remote (for motorized options only), a five year limited warranty for fabric, and a one year electronics limited warranty (for motorized options).

So far so good!
Product was well packed and it arrived in perfect condition. Overall quality seems really great. I had purchased a more expensive Sunsetter product at my other home and I honestly see no difference in the quality. This is not , IMHO, a DIY project unless you really know what you are doing. I'm glad I had a professional come out to install it. Two weeks in and I'm a happy camper. Will update if that changes.

Purchase "mounting bolts" prior to beginning
Seems to be working well. Couple small "dents" on outer cover of awning. Don't know how to report this to manufacturer. Will probable contact Lowes, since they are the ones I purchased through. Came without mounting bolts. Thought they would have been provided. Had to go purchase from outside source.

Great quality ready to install out of the box
It is completely assembled which makes it easier to install. You will need to purchase lag bolts for mounting. Be precise when installing the brackets. I was very careful using a chalk line, level, and a string to insure perfect alignment. It slid right in. I needed two other people to lift it in place as it is close to 200lbs for the 18’ model. Very happy with the quality.

Beauty and Quality
I was so pleasantly surprised. I hoped it was a good product but it is an amazing awning. I purchased the motorized with remote and it works perfectly. The quality is exceptional. It is very heavy duty, also meaning it is very heavy! You definately need 3 people to install. The only negative is that it contains no hardware other than 2 brackets to install one way, the wall. If you need to install it on top or under you have to find brackets and hardware. We purchased 2 thinking we could ...
