Ariens EDGE 34-in 20 -HP V-twin Gas Zero-turn riding lawn mower

I bought this machine about a month ago ant it rides very well very comfortable. It cuts evenly and is fast. I like the way it glides around trees and objects in the yar. It gets good traction in all types of yards. Ither reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the front wheel feel off. The bolt was not tight that held the wheel on. I went to S and H and the fixed me up. They handle the warranty on these lawn mowers.

I do not recommend

The mower was delivered fine. After 1 hour of use the front tire went flat. Fixed it. 4 hours in the belt popped. Small 21 hp engine not good for thick grass. Bumpy. Clanky ride. Un even cutting deck. Doesn’t adjust for contours. Scrapes grass. Poor assembly. Center pulley loose may have caused the rupture. Paid a delivery fee and didn’t get it back. I had to take it back myself and I had to drive it into the return area. Real hassle.

Good mower, lube front spindles.

Bought an Edge 34 a year ago. Good mower, took a while to get used to the zero turn, had my old Ariens YT12 for 32 years. Edge 34 & 42 are similar, I got the 34 for narrow obstacles. Recommend take front spindles out & coat w/ grease. Spindles & top bolt rust easily, especially if displayed outside during rain. Needed: jack, 9/16 wrench, blocks, grease, rag. Probably does not have a zerk, bushings may get forced out pumping grease. Ariens good quality, American made, easy to work on.

Disappointing delivery

I bought an Edge-42 (Ariens) riding lawnmower from Lowe's on Knox Ave; however, I asked for delivery to my home. Lowe's has delivered the lawnmower, which was assembled in 2023. The battery is totally down, and there is a huge leak of engine oil. It spoiled my driveway and the garage floor. All the metal parts are rusty. There are huge piles of dirt underneath the seat. Good engine not a great deck

The mower came with a tensioner pulley that was not screwed correctly. The design of the tensioner pulley is not great and if the screw is not tight ( the mower already came assembled by Lowes or the manufacturer) then it shreds belts and vibrates a lot. It was also eating up the blade's deck. I have already had to disassemble the unit and fix it myself. Not a great experience with the product.
