I like the mailbox, but here in Florida you have to seal all of the extra openings and cracks or you will get BUGS and water, etc. I just sealed the holes with silicone caulking. I put a spacer in the bottom to keep mail above any water that may get inside. I also put a piece of copper mesh in one hole to act as a drain, yet not allow bugs in. We do get hurricanes down here!
Very tough mailbox
We purchased this box after having several items stolen from our conventional mailbox. This box give piece of mind that the things the post office delivers, will still be there when you get home. Would be better if it had a counterweighted door to force it to close, but the magnet on the door insures it stays closed...even in bad weather.

Only 1 problem. When it rains hard mail is soaked. Not happy.
More secure receiving mail
This is s good strong secure mailbox. However. It is only as secure as the post and attachment.
