Since you will only find 2" and 3" universal flush valves on the shelf, Lowe's can order the 4" assembly which is unique to the high volume American Standard toilets and have it shipped at no cost to the store in 2 or 3 days. The cost is $30.82 before tax. You will have to empty and remove the tank, which is attached with two large bolts, before installing. While you are installing it, the manufacturer recommends replacing the toilet fill valve, since it is cheap insurance and easier to install...

two replacements

I have two American Standard ,installed at the same time. A few years one of the champion flush started leaking, making it refill itself every few minutes. I I had a plumber replace the valve assembly. in about 2 years later it started again and plumber replaced it again. one week later leaking again. Plumber says someone should tell American Standard Champion Flush Valve they are making junk. Not happy

Great replacement Valve

Had an older American Standard toilet with a flush valve no longer available. Replaced with this flush valve. Was easy to install and works great. Also replaced the tank to toilet seal and the bolts.

Satisfied

Should have come with a tank to toilet gasket to complete the job. A bit misleading when you by something that is called a kit. It does work very good.
