The Afoxsos ML629 MaxiLink car diagnostic tool provides comprehensive scanning and reset capabilities across four basic vehicle systems: engine, automatic transmission system (ATS), braking system (ABS), and supplemental restraint system (SRS). Designed for 12V cars and light trucks, this scanner diagnoses emission fault codes and vehicle issues using ten enhanced OBDII test modes. For braking maintenance, it assists during the bleeding process by cycling the pump and valves. The tool reads enhanced ECU codes and graphing data across engine, transmission, ABS, and SRS systems for 98 percent of European, Asian, and US vehicles, offering high efficiency for mechanics and DIYers.
Equipped with AutoVIN technology, the ML629 automatically retrieves the Vehicle Identification Number with a single touch, while also supporting voltage testing. The scanner is designed to work with all OBDII compliant vehicles, including those with Control Area Network (CAN) protocols. Per EPA regulations, domestic, Asian, and European vehicles from 1996 and newer sold in the United States must be OBDII compliant. Supported protocols include J1859-41.6, J1850-10.4, ISO9141, KWP2000 (ISO 14230), and CAN (ISO 11898). Its direct 16-pin male connector provides a fast, stable connection compared to Bluetooth tools.
To help turn off the check engine light (CEL), the ML629 reads codes, live data, freeze frame data, and vehicle info. Diagnostic functions include O2 sensor testing, I/M readiness, on-board monitor testing, and EVAP leak testing. An "i" button provides help information and DTC guides. Features include a 2.8-inch 320x240 dpi color LCD screen, built-in speaker indicator, data recording, PC printing, and free updates via MacOS or Windows PC. It includes a protective case and nylon carrying case. The tool measures 7.08 x 3.62 x 1.26 inches (1.87 lbs), and the package measures 10.3 x 7.3 x 2.9 inches (1.81 lbs).
