I bought 5 packs of these stakes. I looked the packages over while choosing them and chose units that did knot show big knots. The middle of the packages was not visible from either side, and quite a few of those middle stakes had knots that caused the stakes to break almost immediately when hammering them into the ground. Vampires beware
Had a local vampire problem, was getting a one by one cut by the lumber guy when he recommended these. Overall cheaper than buying a 1x1 and cutting yourself and the points on these bad boys slide right into the vamps heart.
