Yes. Purchase Authorizations require an expiration date and can be valid for up to 30 days.

Where can I set up a Purchase Authorization?

You can access Purchase Authorization on the app or on desktop in the Account Menu.

Does my buyer need the Lowe’s app to be able to use the Purchase Authorization?

No. If your buyer doesn’t have the Lowe’s app, your buyer will be directed to the Lowe’s mobile website to use Purchase Authorization.

How do I send my buyer the PIN?

You can send the PIN to access the Purchase Authorization QR code through email or text, or you can inform your buyer of the PIN verbally.

How can I revoke a Purchase Authorization?

From the Administrator Dashboard, select the Purchase Authorization that you wish to revoke. Under the Purchase Authorization details, select Revoke.

How do I unlock a locked Purchase Authorization?

From the Administrator Dashboard, select the locked Purchase Authorization. Then select the Unlock button. The buyer will then need to retry with the correct PIN to access the Purchase Authorization QR code.

Can my buyer use the same Purchase Authorization more than once?

Yes. If you select Enable Multiple Scans when creating a new Purchase Authorization, your buyer will be able to use the same Purchase Authorization multiple times until the maximum spend amount has been reached or when the Purchase Authorization expires.

How to Use Purchase Authorization

1. Access Purchase Authorization
Sign in to your Lowes.com Business Account.
Navigate to Purchase Authorization in the Account menu.
Select New Purchase Authorization to begin the process.
You may be prompted to enable multi-factor authentication, which is simply an additional security measure.

2. Enter Details

Provide the contact information for the buyer you’d like to make the purchase.
Provide the additional required details, including credit card information, purchase limit and expiration of the authorization.
Selecting Submit will send an automated text message to the selected buyer to access the authorization.

3. Share PIN

• You’ll receive an auto-generated PIN that you must share with your buyer making the purchase in store. This will allow your buyer to access the QR code needed to make a purchase.

4. Access QR Code and Pay

• Open the link that you received in the automated text message.

• Enter the PIN that you were provided. This will allow you to access a unique QR code to use at checkout.
