It’s pricier than needed if you plan to hardwire it - I think the extra cost is due to the option to mount it to the wall and use with the attached plug. If you’re going to hardwire, you then have more wires to remove and dispose of and less room in the fixture box for a premium phrase. Easy Install

This is a really pretty wall sconce that was exactly what I needed for my basement stairs. The bronze finish has a nice transitional style that works well with various decor styles. I replaced an old ceramic light fixture with this sconce and the installation went smoothly with no problems at all. The light is as shown in the photo and looks nice. However, it's difficult to get it flush to the wall with the mounting. I also bought two of these and only one worked when I got it home.

Works nicely in my living room

This is really the only in-stock light I found that I liked since the trend is towards tall skinny sconces or sconces that use Edison bulbs which I don't like for this application. This is a lovely wall sconce with a white linen shade horizontal in shape and I have the bronze base. I wish there were two of them because just one does not give off enough light. We really needed a light in our coffee bar area, but there is no wall light and did not want to put a table lamp on the bar.
