This allen + roth light fixture can do double duty. The fixture is well constructed and arrives almost fully assembled. All you need do is attach the substantial clear glass globe, put in a 60 watt or smaller light bulb, hang it on the wall and plug it in. Voila, light where you want it! Easy extra light
This was a simple and easy light to instal. I used a drill, level and a lightbulb to complete the task. Decide where you want it, use the plate and level to mark screw holes. Remove backplate from the light and with provided screws mount it on your wall. Attach the fixture to the backplate, install the lightbulb and plug it in. Easy peasy. Nice clean and elegant
I liked how clean it looks even with the switch located on the front. Very easy installation for both hardwired or if you opt for the plug-in option. Glass is definitely a good quality weight with no air bubbles like you see in cheap fixtures. Nice length in cord. Great light fixture
I use to have a florescent light above my sink. It was of no use to me because who installed it put it in facing the wrong way. I was considering changing it for some other type that would be better for our needs. When I saw this one I knew right where I needed it. It works great and it looks like it belongs there.
Not dimmable on the sconce.
The listing says this sconce is dimmable, but according to the manufacturer, that means you can buy a dimmer switch and have an electrician install it. It would seem, then, that any light is dimmable. I wanted a dimmer switch on the sconce itself. I'm now gunshy about buying lighting online.

Nice wall mounted light
Nice wall light! Mounted the light in an alcove area at the top of the stairs where we have a desk and computer set up. Having the option to use the cord vice wiring direct was perfect for this space. Provides nice light while working at the desk without being too bright.

The light is easy to assemble and use can just be plugged in with the attached cord it wired directly into a box ! The light has a heavy clear glass globe that makes a nice light with and easy way to screw in a standard base lightbulb!
