Love the look
We just installed these countertops in our kitchen and really love how they came out! The mineral oil we used to seal them just made them pop! We purchased 4 of the 8 foot lengths and had only one small crack which we worked around. I'm hoping that we don't have any other issues that pop up. We live in Phoenix AZ so we don't have to worry about moisture but it is very dry here, so we'll continue to keep them oiled and hope for the best. I have had the straight in my kitchen, a high traffic area, for a year and a half with no signs of anything like what I've experienced with the chevron. Last day of August, I bought the 8-foot Acacia Chevron (this is over $300) with metal table legs (also over $300) to turn into a desktop for myself and husband to share along one wall in our spare room. Butcher block is completely separating
Purchased this in December, hasn’t even been two months and have multiple cracks and separation of the seams. I used and followed directions for properly oiling the butcher block and did several applications of an oil sealer and also use wood conditioner and the board still cracked. Will be contacting Lowe’s regarding 90 refund policy. Would stick with regular slat butcher block over this pattern.
